Skill Workshops for Rural Women
02/February/2022The skilling workshops for women kickstarted in 2022 with a workshop by Dr. Anu H. Gupta, Chairperson of University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development, Panjab University. The women are growing tremendously ever since with regular classes on every Monday at 11:00 AM in Village Changera.
It all started with the vision of Pastor Kanchan Mittal. She wanted to give more power to women in the form of financial independence. Flames previously had a skill center in Village Mubarakpur, Punjab but the onset of COVID 19 pandemic hampered the learning process.
However, without losing hope, The Flames of Fire Ministries and Ashish Mittal Foundation have been working to encourage women. There have been seminars and awareness programmes. The women are back again with a new fire to learn and work!
P.S. There are a total of 112 women registered to learn weaving, sewing and stitching.
