Women/Widow support
All over the world, there are an estimated hundred million widows living in poverty today. Research has revealed that millions of widows have been abused, and millions have been ostracized and abandoned around the world just because they are widows. An unverified number of widows have been targeted for rape, torture and murder, some others are forced into re-marrying and prostitution, and many are victims of property theft, physical and psychological abuse and social isolation.
It is surprising but what is even more shocking is how few people are aware of this violation and misuse of Human Rights and yet decide to look the other way. We have refused to look the other way. We have decided not to abandon widows or their children and other less privileged people in society.
Our aim is to:
1. To promote women empowerment initiatives through advocacy, collaboration, partnership, social outfit models, institutional mechanism, supporting new technologies and initiatives and integration of thereof that can accelerate progress for women and children in India.
2. To promote environmental development initiatives through advocacy and awareness.
3. Support young and vibrant women entrepreneurs through capacity building and networking.
4. To promote gender equality and human right through advocacy and awareness.
Widowed Empowerment
We aspire to promote the welfare and economic empowerment of poor and vulnerable widows and the education of their children. We also strive to promote the fundamental freedoms and human rights of widows and their children in India through advocacy. We understand that are a lot of widows are really struggling to send their children to school and give them a better life, and we have stepped up to this challenge to ensure that these children attend schools and that will put a smile on their faces and the faces of their mothers as well.
- Identifying human resources that will give support and advocacy for women
- Developing financial resources that effect change for women
- Implementing and following up public awareness campaign that targets the needs and advances made on behalf of women
Digital Acquisition Programmes
Owing to the fast-paced changing world, it is important to equip women with digital skills to help them stay up to date with the dynamic world, and that is why we introduced the digital skill accelerator program. This training program is targeted at women who want to build businesses or careers in digital marketing. Our business and digital skills workshops are physical and virtual training workshops so that women can learn the required skills to improve their businesses and lives.
Peer Support Groups
Our Peer support group is designed to help widows meet and share ideas and experiences together and also learn from the mistakes and experiences of one another.
